Job summary

BrightStar Care of Concord, Lexington & Woburn is seeking a Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) Manager who will oversee clinical operations of our home care services.

The successful candidate will join our Leadership Team and receive support to grow toward a Director of Nursing role within 1–3 years, owning quality, adequacy and reliability of the program – Plan of Care management, staff supervision and clinical compliance.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of operation (Massachusetts).
• 2–3 years of home health, hospice, or skilled nursing experience.
• IV infusion therapy expertise.
• CPR certification is required.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Ability to develop and oversee patient care plans.
• Experience auditing quality and risk management processes.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Reliable car with driver's license and auto insurance.
• Flexibility and availability for on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other providers.
• Conduct in-home assessments and ensure care meets regulatory and company standards.
• Oversee compliance with home health state and federal regulations including documentation.
• Supervise and manage the home care nursing team including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
• Provide guidance and support to nurses and caregivers to ensure high quality care.
• Manage scheduling and ensure adequate staff coverage for all cases.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.

• Supervise and manage the home care nursing team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
• Provide guidance and support to nurses and caregivers to ensure the highest level of patient care.
• Manage scheduling and ensure adequate staff coverage for all home care cases.

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualification and Requirements

Must Haves

• Active RN License – Must hold a valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation.
• Clinical Experience – At least 2-3 years of experience in home health, hospice, or skilled nursing.
• IV Infusion Therapy Expertise – Proficient in administering and overseeing IV infusions, including medications, hydration, and TPN (total parenteral nutrition).
• CPR Certification
• Leadership & Management – Strong ability to supervise, train, and mentor nurses, aides, and caregivers.
• Care Plan Development – Skilled in creating and overseeing patient care plans, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
• Quality Assurance & Risk Management – Experience in auditing, incident reporting, and maintaining compliance with policies.
• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Ability to handle staffing issues, patient concerns, and operational challenges quickly and efficiently.
• Reliable Car, Driver's License and Auto Insurance (Required)
• Flexibility & Availability – Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and responding to emergencies

Nice to Haves

• Home Health or Private Duty Nursing Experience – Familiarity with BrightStar Care’s business model is a plus.
• Sales & Business Development Mindset – Ability to attract and retain clients and collaborate with referral partners.
