Cardinal Correctional Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team as the Nurse Manager in a correctional setting, located in Missouri. This role leads LPNs and RNs on site at the Cape County Jail and collaborates with physicians and NPs to develop patient care plans.

The Nurse Manager ensures staffing coverage, conducts examinations, administers medications, and oversees infection control while supporting behavioral health initiatives and multidisciplinary collaboration to improve

• Proficient in medical terminology and internal medicine practices.
• Strong ability to perform physical examinations and interpret vital signs accurately.
• Knowledgeable in infectious disease care protocols and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and work with LPN's and RN's on site at the Cape County Jail.

• Work with leadership to ensure facilities have coverage of staff.
• Conduct physical examinations and assess patients' health status by taking vital signs and documenting findings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, offering education on prevention and management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
• Support behavioral health initiatives by recognizing mental health issues and providing appropriate interventions.

Cardinal Correctional Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team working in a correctional institution setting as the Nurse Manager. This position will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care under the supervision of physicians as well as leading our teams of LPN's and RN's in Missouri. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through effective communication and clinical skills. Note, this role can be held by NP's and RN's.
