Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time day shift. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with the medical team.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Nursing with RN licensure and English fluency; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Prior acute care experience and Windows-based computer skills are expected; BLS certification is required.

• 1+ acute care hospital setting preferred
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written)
• Basic computer skills – navigate Windows-based programs
• EKG knowledge (based on patient; see document EKG and ALS requirements)

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, reevaluating as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, and outcomes.
• Evaluate care plans and adjust to improve outcomes.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate nursing care among team members.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly and stabilize patients.

Job Description:
