Job summary

GRMC Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, MD, is hiring a Registered Nurse/LPN for Medical-Surgical care. You will provide direct patient care, support the care team, and contribute to patient comfort and recovery.

The position requires an active LPN license, BLS certification, and about one year of clinical experience. 36 hours per week, day shift, with pay in the $20–$30 per hour range and shift differentials.

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active LPN license in the state of service or eNLC multi-state license.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire date.
  • State and federal background checks as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care per plan of care.
  • Consult with RN/Respiratory Therapist for care delivery guidance.
  • Perform designated procedures as needed.
  • Document patient concerns, symptoms, and progress.
  • Assist physicians and overseeing role with exams and procedures.
  • Contribute to nursing assessments with data collection.
  • Support in education and rehabilitation of patients and families.
  • Document interventions and patient responses.
  • Administer IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulized and MDI medications as assigned.
  • Seek supervision when implementing nursing techniques.
