Job summary

Advir Caring Hands in Georgia is seeking a Registered Nurse to supervise LPNs, CNAs and direct care staff while ensuring safe, person-centered care for residents. You will monitor vitals, administer injections, provide wound and hygiene care, and document progress notes at each shift change.

Qualifications include a Georgia RN license, First Aid/CPR, clearance, 2+ years nursing experience and at least 6 months in skilled care with dementia or geriatric populations; ability to lift 50 pounds;

Responsibilities

• Supervise the LPN, CNA and Direct Care Staff
• Supports individuals in attaining personal goals and desires
• Ensures safety and security of individuals
• Turns and re-positions bedridden individuals, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores
• Completes all progress notes and documentation before change of shift
• Assist individuals with ADLs (supervising, feeding, bathing and dressing)
• Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration) as needed
• Prepare and administer injections/enemas
• Collect samples and monitor catheters/feeding tubes
• Provide wound care
• Routine hygiene care throughout the day
• Supervise in addressing their ISP/Plan of Care goals and document progress
• Support all opportunities for the growth, learning and development of the individual
• Complete daily progress notes highlighting person center events

Registered Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Administrator and is responsible for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to all clients.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Georgia
• First Aid/CPR
• NCIC/DBHDD clearance
• 2+ years nursing experience
• At least 6 months experience working in a skilled nursing or assisted living facility working with those individuals living with dementia, and/or geriatric or disoriented individuals
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance
• Maintains current driver’s license if doing transportation
• Must have a positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
