Martha's Vineyard Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in the LDRP/ED settings, following federal, state, local standards and hospital policies. The role supports patient care, discharge planning, and collaboration with the clinical team.
Ideal candidates hold an ADN (BSN preferred) and an active RN license in the state. ED/Med/Surg experience and critical care certifications (ACLS/PALS) are highly regarded; on-call and rotating shifts are required.

The primary purpose of your job is to provide nursing services in the Nursing in LDRP in accordance with the current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations and established policies and procedures as may be directed by the CEO, Director of Physician Services, CNE and practice providers.
Education: Associate\'s Degree Nursing required Bachelor\'s Degree Nursing preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
Experience: ED: 3 years of prior, related ED experience preferred ED: TNCC & NRP preferred ED: CPI/AVADE/MOAB training preferred Med/Surg, Infusion, LDRP: 1 year of prior, related medical/surgical experience preferred NCMG: minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred Perioperative: at least 2 years of prior perioperative experience Dialysis: more than 1 year of experience in a medical/surgical unit required Dialysis: critical care experience preferred Dialysis: ACLS preferred Infusion: Strong IV skills or certification LDRP: at least 2 years of prior labor and delivery experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ED: Ability to coordinate and supervise the assignment of staff, makes assignments and checks for completion of job duties and responsibilities. Ability to tactfully communicate with both internal and external customers. Ability to use a telephone, fax, copier, and all other equipment associated with nursing practice. Ability to stand/walk 90% of the shift, frequent pushing, climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting and helping lift objects and patients ranging from five to three hundred pounds. Color vision is required for perceiving changes in skin color and using color-coded tubing lines. BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire. AHA & ARC accepted. ACLS and PALS certification required prior to completion of orientation or within 6 months of hire, whichever occurs first. Med/Surg: Tactfully communicate with both internal and external customers. Use a telephone, fax, copier, radio, and all other equipment associated with nursing practice. Stand and walk 90% of the shift, frequent pushing, climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting and helping lift objects and patients ranging from five to three hundred pounds. BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire. AHA & ARC accepted. ACLS & PALS certification required prior to completion of orientation or within 6 months of hire, whichever occurs first. Perioperative: Knowledge of current nursing standards of practice required. Must be able to demonstrate adequate technical skills and judgment to function unsupervised during on-call, other shifts, and weekend hours. BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire. AHA & ARC accepted. ACLS and PALS certifications required prior to completion of orientation or within 6 months of hire, whichever occurs first. Dialysis: Must be able to demonstrate adequate technical skills and judgment to function unsupervised during on-call, second shift, and weekend hours. BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire. AHA & ARC accepted.
