Job summary

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care. You will work with the healthcare team to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, following nursing standards and the nursing process, while ensuring patient safety.

Essential duties include assessments, plans of care, documentation, and patient/family education. A 1-year L&D/LDRP background is preferred; an Associate degree in nursing with RN

Qualifications

• 1 year of L&D or LDRP nursing experience required.
• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
• RN License in state of employment.
• Physical Requirements: Medium work up to 50 lbs, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records and data.
• Evaluate patient’s response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes with interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Maintain patient charts and records confidentially.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate, and protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.
• Provide patient/family education and assess learning readiness, needs, and ability.
• Provide teaching and evaluate effectiveness of teaching.

Every day you will promote optimal patient health, well-being, and safety through the nursing process, adhering to patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act, and demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care and our organizational mission. We are offering a $20,000 sign on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

$36.51 - $59.00 /hour
