Job summary

Elliot Hospital's Labor and Delivery unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for high- and low-risk intrapartum and antepartum patients, including transfers for high-risk pregnancy complications.

The position emphasizes patient-centered planning, collaboration across shifts, and adherence to safety standards in a family-centered birth experience. NH licensure and BLS are required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN – BSN preferred).
• Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required.
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment – ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
• Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
• Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
• Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.
