Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor and Delivery at Saint Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit. This full-time night position involves 36 hours per week with on-call shifts.

You will apply the nursing process, coordinate care, and supervise patient care staff to ensure optimal outcomes. The role requires BLS, NRP, and MO/NURSYS RN licensure, with an Associate Degree in Nursing; prior L&D experience preferred but not required.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours, Nights On-Call Shifts Required.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
• Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Basic Life Support
• RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)
