Position: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Work Wise Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Our company is dedicated to providing high-quality permanent healthcare staffing services to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Grapevine, TX area. As a full-time nightshift employee, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and provide exceptional care to expecting mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with delivery
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Monitor fetal heart rate and uterine contractions during labor to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby
• Perform assessments and provide interventions to manage pain and discomfort during labor
• Assist with postpartum care, including breastfeeding support, newborn assessments, and postpartum education
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
