Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients. You will support patient education, collaborate with care teams, and uphold the hospital's mission and standards.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, current BLS, Texas licensure or eligibility, and at least 12 months of RN experience. The hospital emphasizes a safe, therapeutic environment and timely documentation.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Basic Life Support Certification.
Current Texas nursing license or eligibility to practice.
12 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
Direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
Manages patient/family education components throughout the care episode.
Maintains safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and facility.
Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
Administers medications and IVs safely and timely.
Demonstrates responsibility for professional growth and development and uses nursing process to ensure quality care.
Other duties as assigned.

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.

Job Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
Work experience: 12 months of RN experience

Job Responsibilities

Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process.
Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of informational manner.
Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development.
Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care.
Other duties as assigned.
