Job summary

MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology to provide expert patient care in a fast-paced imaging environment. The nurse will manage invasive and noninvasive procedures, perform nursing care using the nursing process, and collaborate with the health care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, with preferred critical care training or certification and prior critical care

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing.
• Critical Care Course or certification preferred but not required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Critical Care Experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in interventional radiology using the nursing process.
• Incorporate environment, instrumentation and team collaboration to support patient needs.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.

Job Description

The registered nurse is a professional caregiver who specializes and performs/assists with invasive and noninvasive imaging procedures. The registered nurse assumes responsibility for patients while in the department and provides care to these patients, as needed via the nursing process, environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within.

Education

• Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing
• Critical Care Course or certification in critical care preferred but not required.

Experience

• Previous experience preferred.
• Critical Care Experience required.

Licenses/Certificates

• License to practice in SC or Compact Licensure Agreement
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification.
