Qualifications

• ADN or higher in nursing.
• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license.
• 1 year radiology/ICU/high-acuity experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Strong understanding of radiologic procedures and safety, including contrast media.
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists and staff during diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer and monitor intravenous contrast agents; manage allergic reactions or complications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care around radiologic procedures.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care, risks and benefits of imaging tests and contrast agents.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing

• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide optimal patient care before, during, and after radiologic and diagnostic imaging procedures
• Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care, explaining the risks and benefits of radiologic tests and contrast agents
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies
