Job summary

Progeny Human Resource Solutions seeks a Registered Nurse for the night shift in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The RN will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for critically ill patients, administer medications as ordered, and document test results and patient records.

Ideal candidates will hold Florida RN licensure (compact option acceptable with FL license active within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma/ASN (BSN preferred), and documented ICU experience plus BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse or compact licensure; active FL RN license within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous ICU/acute care experience strongly REQUIRED.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Strong critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, PC skills.
• WILL CONSIDER CANDIDATES FOR MICU/SICU/CSU.
• MUST HAVE ICU EXPERIENCE.

Job Responsibilities-

Registered Nurse candidates for the night position in the Intensive Care Unit will have the following job responsibilities:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of critically ill patients.
• You will instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• You will maintain and review patients records including posting tests and examination results.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Job Qualifications-

Registered Nurse candidates for the night position in the Intensive Care Unit must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly REQUIRED.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills.
• WILL CONSIDER CANDIDATES FOR MICU/SICU/CSU.
