Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care using the nursing process within our Michigan facilities. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to uphold standards for professional practice and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include assessing needs, planning and implementing care, and evaluating responses while maintaining safety and continuous professional development. ACLS and NRP milestones are required by unit orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Nursing Program.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC or Canadian equivalent, required before start date and valid for at least 60 days beyond start date.
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC.

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.

• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.

The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.

Required

• Graduate of a Nursing Program
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent, is required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for CCL, PACU, ENDO, IR, ICU, ED, CDU, CSS, CSU, Ambulatory Surgery, and the Step-Down Unit
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required by end of unit orientation for FBC

Preferred

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Wound Care Certification (WCC/WOCN/CWCA) if working in Wound Care Center preferred, Wound care Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date
• One year related specialty care experience preferred for: Cardiac Cath Lab, OR/PASS (Post Anesthesia Care Unit), IR (Interventional Radiology), ICU, Endo, or Ambulatory Surgery
