AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess patients, implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Florida state Registered Nurse licensure.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within hire.
• NIHSS stroke certification within 30 days and renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatments.
• Document care activities accurately in the EMR.

• Maintain infection control and safety protocols in the workplace.

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• American Heart Association ACLS certification upon hire
• NIHSS stroke certification within 30 days of hire and renewed annually/per policy.
• Stroke education of 4 hours to be completed within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Current Florida state Registered Nurse licensure

Preferred Qualifications :

• 2 years Critical Care/ICU experience preferred but not required
• CCRN Certification preferred but not required
• FCCS Certification preferred but not required
• BSN preferred but not required

Pay Range:

$31.85 - $52.76
