Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled RN to deliver comprehensive, safe, and cost-effective nursing care across all ages. Under minimal supervision, you will lead a group of patients and guide the care team while applying established nursing standards.

You will use the nursing process for assessment, planning, and evaluation, and you may act in the manager's absence. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• Current and active RN license in the State of North Carolina is required.
• BLS certification at hire; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year Medical and/or Surgical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive, safe, effective nursing care across the patient age continuum.
• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Job Summary:

The primary objective of this position is to assure the delivery of comprehensive, safe, effective, cost effective and appropriate nursing care for patients across the age continuum in accordance with established hospital policy, nursing practice standards. Under minimum supervision, directs and/or provides professional nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum (4 weeks to geriatric). Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Provides supervision and guidance to other members of the team; and may be authorized, in the absence of the manager, to make decisions affecting the Inpatient Unit.

Training, Education, & Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required

• BLS certification required at hire; ACLS, and PALS within 6 months of employment
• A minimum of 1 year previous Medical and/or Surgical nursing experience required
