Job summary

Phoebe Putney Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care to assigned patients in alignment with established standards. A Georgia RN license, BLS, and ASLS are required, with GSCC/NIHSS completion within 2 years of hire.

Work Experience

Licenses and Certifications

Assessment and Diagnosis

Job Specific Responsibilities (Orthopedics)

• Demonstrates competency in assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation of patients undergoing joint replacement.
• Provides appropriate orthopedic-related education to the patient and/or family/caregiver.
• Knowledgeable in joint replacement performance measures and how they relate to patient outcomes.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care of the orthopedic patient.
• Must have a total of 8 hours joint replacement-related education annually.

Neurology Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in assessment, planning, treatment and evaluation of patient experiencing stroke or stroke-like symptoms.
• Provides appropriate stroke-related education to the patient and/or family/caregiver.
• Knowledgeable in stroke performance measures and how they relate to patient outcomes.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care of the stroke patient.
• Must have a total of 4 hours of stroke related education annually.

Additional Duties

• Adheres to the hospital and departmental attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Performs all job responsibilities in alignment with the core values, mission and vision of the organization.
• Performs other duties as required and completes all job functions as per departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
