Job summary

Story County Medical Center in Nevada, Iowa is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Inpatient and Skilled Unit. This full-time position offers a 36-hour work week, with 7:00pm–7:00am shifts and a pay range of $30.00–$45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

You will supervise staff, administer medications, assess patients, document care, and uphold strict confidentiality. Required ACLS, BLS, and Mandatory Reporter certifications; TNCC/PALS preferred. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing for Registered Nurses.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required with pending timelines.
• Mandatory Reporter certification within 90 days.
• TNCC and PALS preferred within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to other staff through resident assignments, giving report to others, intervening in areas of conflict
• Accurately prepare and administer prescribed medications per hospital policy and scope of practice
• Conduct routine assessments of patient condition and provide nursing care according to physician orders and hospital policy
• Document admission, physical assessment, monthly summaries, variance reports, and pertinent resident information
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information
