Affinity Hospice is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver direct nursing care in an inpatient setting. You will monitor patients, administer treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Full-time role with weekday hours from 7pm to 7am. Requires ADN or equivalent, at least 1 year of acute care experience, and an active RN license in the assigned state.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) preferred.

Position Summary:

TheInpatientRegisteredNurse (RN)is responsible forproviding direct nursing care to patients in an inpatient setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care.

Hours / Schedule:

Full Time, Weekday hours are 7pm-7am

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university (or international equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of recent acute care experience in an institutional settingrequired.
• One (1) year of home careand/or Hospiceexperience preferred.
• Current RN license valid in the assigned state(s).
• Current CPR certificationisrequired.
• Valid driver’s license with a reliable, insured vehicle, ifrequiredfor operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing carein accordance withthe State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, and review of medical history.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatmentsas prescribed byphysicians.
• Monitor and document patient status, including changes in condition, pain, and response to treatments.
• Provide patient and family educationregardingdisease management, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Assistpatients withactivities of daily livingto promote comfort and independence.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Ensure patient safety andmaintaina therapeutic and supportive environment.
• Participate in daily rounds, interdisciplinary team meetings, and patient care conferences.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives andmaintaincompliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentation in the electronic health record.
• Attend continuing education, in-services, and training tomaintainclinical competency.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist.
• Prolonged orconsiderablewalking or standing.
• Able to lift, position and/or transfer patients.
• Able to lift supplies and equipment.
• Considerable reaching, stooping bending,kneelingand/or crouching.
• Visual acuity and hearing to perform required nursing skills.
