Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an inpatient or ambulatory medical clinic required.
  • Oncology chemotherapy/immunotherapy experience preferred.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
  • OCN certification within 3 years of hire strongly preferred; if not, must complete 12 oncology CE credits annually or 36 in 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of Cancer Center infusion services and chemotherapy patients.
  • Provides the care needed as described in department policies and procedures.
  • Participates in patient and family education.
  • Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the outpatient clinical setting.
  • Rotational coverage in low census based on Sequim cancer services census.
  • May perform emergency care.
