Olympic Medical Center in Sequim, WA is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide infusion and chemotherapy care in the Cancer Center. The role supports patient and family education and adheres to department policies while maintaining professional standards in an outpatient setting.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, valid WA RN licensure, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an inpatient or ambulatory medical clinic required.
• Oncology chemotherapy/immunotherapy experience preferred.
• Current Washington State Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• OCN certification within 3 years of hire strongly preferred; if not, must complete 12 oncology CE credits annually or 36 in 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of Cancer Center infusion services and chemotherapy patients.
• Provides the care needed as described in department policies and procedures.
• Participates in patient and family education.
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the outpatient clinical setting.
• Rotational coverage in low census based on Sequim cancer services census.
• May perform emergency care.
