As a Registered Nurse in the Pain Management Suite at OrthoVirginia, you will play a vital role in providing advanced, non-surgical pain relief options to help patients manage chronic pain and improve their quality of life. You will work closely with a team of dedicated pain management specialists to deliver personalized care tailored to each patient's unique needs. **Essential Duties:** * Patient Check-In and Preparation: Review medical records, check vital signs, and administer intravenous (IV) fluids or medications as needed.* During Procedures: Monitor patients' vital signs, administer sedation, and ensure patient safety. Assist with spinal injections and other interventional pain management procedures.* Post-Procedure Care: Observe and monitor patients as they recover from sedation, ensuring stable vital signs and providing necessary care and support.* Critical Thinking and Communication: Quickly identify and address any complications or issues during procedures and communicate effectively with the medical team to ensure patient safety.* Patient Education: Educate patients about their procedures and post-procedure care, providing instructions on managing pain and any follow-up care needed. **Qualifications:** * Completion of BSN or ADN program; Registered Nursing License* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.* At least 2 years of relative experience required* Proficiency in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.* Previous experience in administering and monitoring moderate sedation.
