Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintain RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure and meet state board requirements.
• Certifications required depending on position: BLS and unit-specific certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, C-EFM, and others.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for care provided to assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.
