The ideal candidate graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN) and maintains an active RN license in the hiring state or compact regime. BLS certification is required; additional unit-specific certifications may be needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in hiring state and/or compact licensure required.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Basic Life Support certification required; other certifications may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain professional accountability.
• Evaluate overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Contribute to Mercy Service Standards and mission in daily duties.
