Job summary

Women's Healthcare Associates, LLC seeks a skilled RN II for an OB/GYN outpatient clinic in Oregon. You will perform thorough triage by phone, give medical guidance, and educate patients while coordinating appointments and paperwork.

The role requires an active Oregon RN license and CPR certification, with preference for OB/GYN/L&D or family practice experience and EMR proficiency, ideally Epic. Monday–Friday schedule with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon RN license and CPR certification required.
• Experience in OB/GYN, L&D or family practice strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, preferably Epic.

Responsibilities

• Triage OB/GYN patients by phone, assess acuity and prioritize needs.
• Provide medical advice and education over the phone.
• Schedule appointments, process prescriptions and paperwork.
• Return patient calls the same day and support scheduling with specialists.
• Counsel patients on OB/GYN topics including labor, hormones and menopause.

Duties include providing timely and effective OB/GYN clinical triage, medical advice, and education to patients at our Tualatin clinic.*This is a 40 hr/week position, Monday - Friday. Some Saturdays required.*DUTIESAnswers telephone calls, effectively identifies and prioritizes problems, assesses acuity levels.Makes triage judgments, schedules appointments, faxes and phones in prescriptions and completes necessary paperwork.Returns all patient telephone calls during the same day.Assists patients to schedule appointments with specialists as necessary.Provides emotional and psychological support to patients and/or their guests.Counsels and educates patients over the telephone in OB/GYN issues including preterm labor, labs, diet, exercise, medications, menstrual cycle, breast exams, hormones, perimenopause and menopause.QUALIFICATIONSCurrent Oregon RN license and CPR certification required.Excellent communication skills in person and over the phone.Ability to anticipate and prioritize the patient's needs.Knowledge of contraceptives, hormones and medications compatible with pregnancy.Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment modalities required.Prior experience in OB/GYN, L&D or family practice strongly preferred.Knowledge of medical charting processes and procedures required.
