Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join the Gen Surg Team in Nashville. You will apply the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, educate patients and families, and coordinate continuum of care across the health care team.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license and be eligible for licensure in Tennessee.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program; 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate effective communication and patient/family education abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care and coordinates care delivery.
• Assesses patient information to determine nursing diagnosis and care needs.
• Monitors patient progress, applies interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Promotes a safe environment and health maintenance strategies.
