Job summary

Harris Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to provide advanced nursing care within our clinical teams. The NCII applies standards and algorithms to patient care, independently managing common conditions while escalating when needed.

The role requires a BSN (preferred) or a diploma with nursing program graduation, Texas RN licensure, and AHA/Red Cross BLS. Flexibility for weekends and on-call duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

• Basic Life Support from AHA or Red Cross approved program.

Job Summary

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his/her assigned clinical area; recognizes when he/she needs assistance and seeks appropriate resources.

Degrees

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing

Licensure/Certification

Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas

Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program

Other Certificates As Required By Unit/service.

Work Experience: One (1) year full time RN experience or completion of GN Program
