Harris Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II to provide skilled nursing care in its clinical unit. The NCII will independently manage common patient problems, apply nursing standards, and adhere to the Texas Nursing Practice Act guidelines.
Qualified candidates include RN licensure in Texas, BLS, and a nursing degree (BSN preferred or diploma). One year of RN experience or GN program completion is required; bilingual skills preferred. Weekend, holiday, on-call schedules available.
The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) has knowledge and skills necessary to meet standards for professional practice specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and by HCHD Nursing Service. The practice patterns of competent generalists are characterized by the application of standards, principles, and algorithms to clinical situations. The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to patients in his or her assigned clinical area; recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources.
Other certificates may be required by unit/service.
One (1) year full‑time RN experience or completion of a Graduate Nursing (GN) program.
Bilingual skills preferred.
