Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking an experienced Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients with a range of burn injuries. You will work with a dedicated team to deliver advanced wound care, pain management, and education throughout recovery.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide individualized care, fostering healing and safety while supporting patients and families through the healing journey.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN licensed as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Degree options include Associate, Bachelor's or RN Diploma.
• No Travel Required.
• 6 months RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout care.
• Perform procedures and medication administration, including pain relief, fluids, advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitor responses, and promote healing.
• Educate and support patients and families with compassion to navigate recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care tailored to individual needs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Burn Unit Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll play a vital role in the healing journey of patients with a variety of burn injuries. With stays ranging from days to weeks, you’ll build meaningful relationships and witness powerful healing journeys. Partnering with a skilled team that’s deeply committed to this unique population, you’ll restore comfort and healing - caring for patients like family and improving lives every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patient condition and environment to recognize changes, manage pain, and ensure safety throughout their care journey
• Performing expert procedures and medication administration – including pain relief and fluid therapy – delivering advanced wound care and dressing changes, monitoring responses and acting swiftly to promote healing and comfort
• Educating and supporting patients and families with compassion and clarity to confidently navigate recovery and make informed decisions
• Collaborating with a dedicated multidisciplinary team to provide seamless, patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s needs

What qualifications you will need:
