Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to provide high-quality patient care and to collaborate with a respected nursing team. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and contribution to quality outcomes in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Ideal candidates hold Maryland RN licensure, have 12+ months nursing experience, and current AHA BLS; PALS/ACLS/NRP certifications may be required for specific units.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or eligible via MD Board of Nursing compact.
• More than 12 months nursing experience with solid knowledge and clinical skills.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Meet unit-specific certification requirements (PALS, ACLS, NRP).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, patient-centered care with focus on service excellence.
• Contribute to unit-based outcomes related to NDNQI and Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and participate in tracer activities as needed.
• Identify risks in processes and communicate issues to leadership.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Understands and contributes to unit-based outcomes associated with National Hospital Quality Measures (NDNQI), Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, and Facility Annual Operational Plan.
• Understands and contributes to unit-based outcomes associated with National Hospital Quality Measures (NDNQI), Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators, and Facility Annual Operational Plan.
• Provides high quality, safe, patient-centered care with focus on exceeding service expectations.
• Be held accountable for compliance with regulatory requirements and holds others accountable; participates in tracer activities when requested
• Identifies possible risks in processes, procedures, devices and communicates the same to those in charge.
  
  

Qualifications

Work Experience

Required

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
• More than 12 months nursing experience. Solid knowledge and clinical skills.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
