Job summary

AdventHealth Davenport is seeking an experienced ICU/Critical Care RN for night shifts to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires strong critical care knowledge, exemplary documentation in EMR systems, and the ability to educate patients and families.

Job Description

• Shift: Nights
• Up to $15,000 Sign-On Bonus * For Eligible Candidates

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]
