Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Garden, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications safely, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Eligible clinicians may earn a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and participate in the Clinical Ladder for potential salary increases up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
• RN license is required for Florida employment.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and regularly revise them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective teamwork.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG (based on patient ; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements)
