Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a skilled RN to join its Medical-Surgical/Critical Care team in Florida. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer treatments with strict safety protocols.

You will monitor patient responses, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care. Expect leadership duties and continuous quality improvement support.

Qualifications

  • Experience in critical care settings and patient assessment.

Job Description:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.

  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self‑care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high‑quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
