UChicago Medicine AdventHealth in Glendale Heights, IL seeks a full-time Registered Nurse for a 12-hour day/night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

Starting pay: $33.94–$57.08 per hour with sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 for nights and $5,000 for days; opportunities for salary increases through the Clinical Ladder.

Job Description:

• Starting Pay: $37.50/hr
• Sign on Bonus Available: Days up to $5,000 for Eligible Applicants; Nights up to $20,000 for Eligible Applicants
• Schedule: Day and Night shifts available; 12 hours shifts; 7a or 7p start time, w/rotating weekends and holidays

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
