Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient/family centered care in the Burn Clinic. You will support diagnosis, treatment, and care coordination, interviewing patients, taking vitals, and documenting in the medical record.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to expedite appropriate care while respecting patient values. The role requires SC nursing licensure (or compact state) and BLS certification, with BSN preferred for ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless current MUSC employee.
• RN licensed by SC Board or compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient/family centered care and act as partner and adviser.
• Assist with preparation, examination and procedures including interviewing and screening patients.
• Document findings, orders, vitals, and care plans in medical records per policy.
• Conduct telephone and in-person screenings and document accordingly.
• Record and report patient care activities; manage calls and medications information with providers.
• Maintain exam rooms and supply areas; ensure proper infection control and safety.
