Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse I to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process. The role involves nights, a 12-hour shift pattern, and an ECB-status scheduling requirement. New graduate nurses with Oklahoma RN licensure are welcome to apply and participate in unit-based education.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, documentation, discharge planning, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

  • Completion of the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing.
  • Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
  • 0–6 months related experience.
  • Working knowledge of disease state management, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes the nursing process to care for patients.
  • Assesses, organizes, and completes patient care with consideration for age, culture and psychosocial factors.
  • Documents steps of the nursing process using proper medical terminology.
  • Addresses problems and progress toward goals.
  • Facilitates patient discharge through timely referrals and education resources.
  • Collaborates with other disciplines and supports PI and education goals.

Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise). Has input on performance evaluations but does not prepare or give. Works directly with patients and/or customers.
