Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois seeks a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the RN scope. The role follows IDFPR guidelines and supports patient and family care in diverse communities.

Qualifications

• RN license required and in good standing with IDFPR.
• Experience providing comprehensive nursing care in acute or ambulatory settings preferred.
• Ability to perform procedures within the RN scope (conscious sedation, IV placement, chemotherapy administration).

Responsibilities

• Provide and facilitate competent nursing care across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of care.
• Provide health and wellness education to patients and families.
• Act as preceptor and support development of staff and healthcare students.
• Support leadership initiatives to improve quality of care and outcomes.
• Assist with procedures such as Holter monitoring, EKG, and cardiac testing as appropriate.

(The Procedural Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: Nursing, Work Experience: Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.Performs advanced nursing activities, which can include assisting with procedures using conscious sedation, placement of IV's, and administering chemotherapy drugs.Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.Apply holter monitor Perform EKG Perform cardiac stress testing Assist with transesophageal echocardiogram Monitors patient before/after conscious sedation Administers intravenous medications and fluids
