Job summary

Heart Hospital of Austin seeks an experienced RN House Supervisor to oversee nursing performance and unit operations on a shift. You will coordinate patient assignments, lead staff allocation, and represent management in staff absence, ensuring optimal patient care and unit efficiency.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure, ACLS/BCLS/NIH Stroke Scale and crisis intervention certifications within specified timelines, and a minimum of five years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license to practice in Texas.
• ACLS within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN license (Registered Nurse).
• Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree, or RN diploma.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a House Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating intradepartmental and interdepartmental functioning of the hospital. You will be responsible for the direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of nursing performance and activities related to the care and treatment of patients within the hospital on a specific shift.

• You will coordinate the assignments of patients to specific units
• You will assign nursing staff to specific clinical areas within the hospital
• You will act as the official representative of management and administrative staff of the hospital in their absence
• You will assess personnel needs based on census, acuity, and special needs of each unit

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
