Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Per Diem RN House Operations Administrator to serve as the on-duty clinical and operational leader, ensuring safe patient care and smooth patient flow across units.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required; Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is preferred. Current IL RN license, CPR, and ACLS are required; minimum three years nursing with leadership experience; critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MS preferred in nursing or healthcare administration.
• Current Illinois RN license; CPR certification; ACLS certification (or within 90 days).
• Minimum of three years nursing experience with at least two in leadership roles.
• Experience in a critical care or high-acuity setting highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the highest-level clinical and operational leader on duty during assigned shift.
• Oversee hospital-wide clinical operations, patient flow, staffing, safety, and emergency response.
• Interpret and enforce policies; direct staff; allocate resources; make real-time decisions.

Hourly Pay Range

$43.69 - $67.72 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Per Diem Hours: 1900-0730 or 2300-0730 could cover some holidays and some weekends
• Per Diem Commitment Level:
• Per Diem Level 1: 32-72 hrs

What you will do

The RN House Operations Administrator (HOA) serves as the highest?level clinical and operational leader on duty during their assigned shift when senior leadership is not on site. The HOA provides hospital?wide oversight of clinical operations, patient flow, staffing, safety, and emergency response. Acting in the interest of the organization, the HOA exercises independent judgment and has the authority to interpret and enforce policies, provides direction to team members, direct clinical and operational activity, resolve complex issues, allocate resources, and make real-time decisions necessary to ensure continuity of safe, high?quality patient care across all units. The role functions as the central decision?maker for real?time operations, support frontline staff, coordinating interdepartmental activity, and maintaining situational awareness of capacity, acuity, and resource needs.

What you will need

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master?s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Certification:

Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of Illinois; Current CPR Certification (issued by American Heart Association); Current ACLS Certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire).

Experience:

Minimum of three years of progressive nursing experience, with at least two years in a formal or informal leadership role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Team Lead, Supervisor).

Experience in a critical care or high-acuity setting is highly preferred.
