Job summary

Care Advantage Inc is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) Home Care Supervisor to provide clinical leadership across Virginia Beach VA and surrounding areas. Lead with compassion, mentor caregivers, and ensure high-quality home health services for patients and families.

In this PRN role you will conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, supervise nursing staff and ensure regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and performance quality while traveling regionally.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in VA (compact license accepted where applicable).
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service territory.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead with clinical oversight and mentor caregivers and nursing staff.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and admissions.
• Develop and oversee personalized plans of care with physicians and families.
• Monitor patient progress, document accurately, and ensure quality outcomes.
• Provide family education and support for home-based care.
• Perform supervisory visits to observe care delivery and ensure satisfaction.
• Support orientation and ongoing education, promoting continuous learning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Build relationships with referral sources and community partners.

In-Home Supervisory Visits

• Conduct supervisory visits to observe care delivery.
• Ensure patient satisfaction, compliance, and service excellence.

Training & Orientation

• Support orientation and ongoing education initiatives.
• Promote continuous learning and professional development.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Regulatory Excellence

• Ensure compliance with Maryland, District of Columbia, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and clinical standards.

Clinical Documentation

• Complete and maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
• Ensure timely and compliant reporting.

Quality Improvement

• Participate in quality initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Help drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes and service delivery.

Community Engagement & Growth

Relationship Building

• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, healthcare professionals, and community partners.

Brand Advocacy

• Represent Capital City Nurses and Care Advantage professionally throughout the community.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA (Compact License accepted where applicable)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the service territory
