Job summary

Henry Ford Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide exceptional patient care and participate in quality assurance and shared governance initiatives. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and the Henry Ford Hospital Professional Nurse Practice Model.

The position involves leadership in coordinating care, applying the nursing process, and communicating with the care team to meet patient goals, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
• Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Job Description

Henry Ford Nursing uses evidence-based practice, professional practice standards and the Henry Ford Hospital Professional Nurse Practice Model to drive nursing practice.

• Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

• Position: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Midnights 12 Hour Shifts

• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations
• Benefits: Full-time benefit package

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
