Baptist Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Gulf Breeze Emergency Department in Florida. This PRN position supports evening shifts (1100-2300) with opportunities to provide high-quality patient care in a busy ED setting.

The RN will perform assessments, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with the care team to meet departmental goals. Florida licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS as required will apply.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or eligible compact state upon hire.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS as applicable upon hire within stated timelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsabilités

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing services and patient care in variety of settings. This position follows established nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This position ensures adherence to hospital or department policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. Manages individualized, goal directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and Hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, identifies, and prioritizes patient and family needs to provide quality care to all patients. Develops, discusses, and communicates plan of care for each patient in collaboration with the care team.
• Safely delivers medications and treatments. Monitors and documents patient responses and upholds all safety policies and protocols including patient identification, risk mitigation ensuring a safe individualized plan of care.
• Performs continuous patient assessment, detects changes in condition, and communicates with appropriate care team members to support prompt clinical decision making.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit to facility meeting goals and objectives.
• Maintains current documentation and required licensure, certifications, required education, and competencies in accordance with unit scope of service and professional standards. Pursues professional growth and development.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate Nursing Required or
• Associates Degree Nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse Licensed State of Florida or eligible compact state Upon Hire Required
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
• ACLS Provider (ACLS) American Heart Association Upon Hire Required
• PALS Provider (PALS) American Heart Association within 90 Days Required
