Job summary

Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care in the Denver metro area seeks a Registered Nurse specialized in GI procedures. You will provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopy and colonoscopy, perform pre- and post-procedure assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist physicians during procedures.

You will educate patients and families on treatment and recovery, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document in the EMR, and contribute to quality improvement

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the United States.
• Strong patient care skills with the ability to deliver compassionate GI-specific nursing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Role:

Registered Nurse GI

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing GI procedures such as endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments, administer medications and moderate sedation, monitor vital signs, assist physicians during procedures, and educate patients and families on treatment and recovery.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, adhere to safety and infection-control standards, accurately document in the EMR, and support quality improvement initiatives.
