Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the General Medicine Unit on a full-time night-shift schedule (7pm-7am) in a busy 18-bed Med/Surg environment. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate with the interprofessional team, and contribute to positive patient outcomes.

The role requires an RN with Nursing Diploma/Associate's and preferred Bachelor's in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include Nursing Diploma or Associate's in Nursing.
• Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and their families on illness management and post-treatment home care.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Supports professional development of staff and team members.
• Develops and documents care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team.
• Communicates plan of care across the care continuum.
• Assesses and addresses patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
