Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced registered nurse to deliver safe, competent care in a busy acute care setting.

The role supports the healthcare team, upholds Patient-Centered Care and Service Excellence, and requires a Nevada RN license with current BLS; PALS/NRP as required. BSN preferred and pre-employment assessment may be required.

Summerlin Hospital is a 496-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description

Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.

Experience: One-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.

License/Certification: Current RN license in the state of Nevada. Current BLS Certification, Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department. Other certification may be required by facility, specialty, or department.

Other: Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
