Job summary

Regions Behavioral Health Hospital in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift in an inpatient setting. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care, monitor patient status, administer medications, and coordinate with physicians to meet physiological and psychological needs.

You will supervise mental health technicians, document care, and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while maintaining compassionate patient interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in direct patient care, preferably in psychiatric setting.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Certified in CPR.
• Certified in crisis/violence intervention.

Job Summary: Administers nursing care to individual patients and groups of patients in an inpatient setting to assist them in meeting their physiological, psychological, safety, and general health needs. Perform nursing care in accordance with the physician’s orders and under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing. Supervises MHTs.

Regulatory Requirements:
