Job summary

St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ, is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in Med/Surg/S3. The RN will utilize the Nursing Process to plan, implement, and evaluate care within their scope of practice and support the department's goals.

Responsibilities include collaboration with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care, assess and monitor patients, and ensure compliance with BLS, ACLS, and PALS requirements per American Heart Association standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Job Description

Responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in a collaborative manner to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with his/her scope of practice. The RN supports the goals and philosophy of the Department of Nursing within the St. Joseph's Healthcare System and on his/her assigned unit.

Qualifications

Knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. Licensure required as a Registered Nurse by the State of New Jersey.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire.

Effective January 2019, St. Joseph's Health requires certifications for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) to be granted through the American Heart Association.
