Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to float across ICU, NCCU, CVICU, Burn ICU and PCU, delivering high-level nursing care and supervision. You will use the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure developmentally appropriate patient care during your shift.

The role requires a BSN preferred, current BLS, Texas RN license or eligibility, and at least 2 years in Critical Care/ER.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active Texas RN license or eligibility to practice.
• Minimum 2 years' RN Critical Care/ER experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Direct and supervise other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure age/developmentally appropriate care per unit standards.

Your Job

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. BSN Preferred


• Current Basic Life Support Certification


• Current additional certifications as required by department


• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so


• Work experience: At least 2 years RN Critical Care/ER experience.
