Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center is a 314-bed, acute care teaching hospital serving Dallas County communities. This RN role provides professional nursing care using the nursing process, directs team members, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver age-appropriate care.

Shifts are 7pm-7am on a rotating 12x3 schedule, with night shifts and rotating days. Requires BSN preferred, Texas RN license or eligibility, BLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: at least 1 year RN experience.

Job Description

Registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and supervises other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with unit standards of care.
