Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Louisiana is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care for patient comfort and well-being. The nurse will prepare equipment, assist physicians, administer prescribed medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.

The role requires leadership within the nursing team, strict aseptic technique, and flexibility to accept scheduling designs prior to hire; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.

• Ability to accept scheduling/placement designations determined prior to hire.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.

Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• Current Louisiana State RN License
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS provider certification required within 30 days of employment
• PALS certification preferred
• SAMA required
